Watch: Miele and Clarke earn Rovers easy derby win at Bohemians

Shamrock Rovers cruised to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Bohemians at Dalymount Park thanks to early goals from Brandon Miele and Trevor Clarke.

Bohemians had roped in the fire service to help water the pitch in the lead-up to the match but it remained a difficult surface to navigate for both sides.

Which is what made Rovers' opener so impressive as they played the ball along the ground until Graham Burke pulled the ball behind Gary Shaw for Miele to slam home from ten yards.

Paddy Kavanagh missed a great chance for Bohs and was punished immediately as Lorcan Fitzgerald was blocked down by Clarke, and Burke played in the winger, who finished spectacularly into the top corner.

The win moves Rovers up into fifth position, while Bohs slip into the relegation spots on goal difference behind Sligo Rovers.
