Watch: April's goal of the month contest is too close to call

It's Goal of the Month time once again and, once again, the SSE Airtricity League has thrown up a selection of top-class goals that should be a fierce topic of debate in offices around the country.

St Patrick's Athletic's Conan Byrne stole the show last month with his incredible 60-yard lob away to Bohemians, and it's no surrprise to see him feature again, wearing his favourite blue jersey up in Derry.

From the same game, Ronan Curtis very nearly burst the net for the Candystripes, while Cork City's Karl Sheppard and Garry Buckley showed technical excellence to net on trips to the capital against Bohemians and Pats respectively.

David Cawley of Galway United and Shane Duggan of Limerick, meanwhile, contributed with the standard Goal of the Month contenders – furious strikes from distance that left the goalkeepers with no chance.

Goals for Dundalk's Stephen O'Donnell against Bray Wanderers and Bray's Dylan Connolly against Shamrock Rovers were brilliant mixes of individual and team brilliance – though we wish RTE had included more of the build-up to the latter.
