ET Transfer Ticker (Monday, January 16, 2017)

It's been a busy day on the transfer front in the SSE Airtricity League, with significant signings and re-signings announced at a number of clubs.

The champions Dundalk have been particularly busy, announcing three new signings and the retention of two more between Sunday and Monday.

The most significant of these, at least from a juicy headline perspective, was the addition of former Chelsea youth captain and Republic of Ireland under-21 international Conor Clifford.

The Lilywhites have also raided a couple of their fellow Premier Division clubs for recruits, with Jamie McGrath arriving from St Patrick's Athletic and Danish defender Niclas Vemmelund from Derry City.

In addition, the club have announced striker David McMillan and longest-serving player John Mountney have penned new deals to stay at Oriel Park in 2017.

Galway United have been hard at work to ensure their fate is in safe hands for the coming year with the addition of goalkeepers Ciaran Nugent from Sligo Rovers and Conor Winn from last year's squad.

Finn Harps squad for the coming season continues to take shape with the signing of Northern Irish winger Caolan McAleer from Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton.

And Wexford Youths have welcomed back midfielder Thomas Croke for a second spell at the club.

We talked to Shelbourne Ladies striker Noelle Murray following her transfer to Scottish Premier League champions Glasgow City, where she'll join up with Savannah McCarthy and Keeva Keenan.
