Anthony O'Donnell re-signs for Cobh Ramblers

Cobh Ramblers have confirmed that defender Anthony O'Donnell has re-signed ahead of the 2017 First Division season.

The Limerick native returns for a third successive season at St Colman's Park, having initially rejoined the club from Waterford United midway through the 2015 season.

The 22-year-old played his junior football with Ringmahon Rangers in Cork before joining Limerick in 2011.

The six-footer signed for the Rams during the summer of 2013 and became a regular the following season under Martin Cambridge.

He moved to Waterford at the beginning of 2015 but, after making just four appearances for the Blues, he returned to Cobh.

O'Donnell started five games and was introduced as a substitute in five more, including the two play-off ties against Drogheda United, as the Rams finshed third in the First Division in 2016.
