Gavin Brennan leaves Shamrock Rovers

Shamrock Rovers have confirmed that midfielder Gavin Brennan has left the club by mutual agreement.

 

The 28-year-old had been contracted through to the end of the season but has opted to cut his time short having fallen out of favour under caretaker manager Stephen Bradley.

 

“Today I've left Shamrock Rovers,” Brennan announced on his Twitter account, before the club confirmed the news on their official website.

 

“Fully enjoyed my time there under Pat Fenlon. Wish the lads tat [sic] play there all the best in the future.

 

“Playin [sic] week in week out to been [sic] left in the stands with no explanation. If I had of [sic] stayed another week I probably wud of [sic] had to pay in.”

 



Brennan joined Rovers in 2015 following three years with hometown club Drogheda United, having had earlier spells with Duleek and Drogheda Town.

 

He made 51 appearances in total for the Hoops, scoring four goals.
