Bray's Ryan Brennan to miss two months with knee fracture

Bray Wanderers midfielder Ryan Brennan is set to miss up to two months with a knee fracture.

The former Shamrock Rovers midfielder sustained the injury against his old club at the Carlisle Grounds two weeks ago after colliding with the post.

Brennan attempted to run the injury off after a long period of treatment, but was eventually withdrawn in a game the Seagulls went on to draw 1-1.

“Gutted with the news I'll be out for a 6-8 weeks with a fracture in my knee,” the Drogheda man said on Twitter.

“Hopefully [I'll] get back before the end of the season.”

Bray Wanderers sit tenth in the table following Wednesday's victory over champions Dundalk, two points clear of Wexford Youths.

Wanderers travel to play Galway United in the only Premier Division game on Friday evening.

Brennan was a guest on the Extratime.ie Sportcast this week talking about Bray's upcoming games.
